人物简介
在兰州大学生物学系,中国医学科学院基础医学研究所细胞生物学室,美国Emory大学细胞与发育生物学专业分别获得学士(1987)、硕士(1990)和博士(1995)学位;在美国Tularik公司完成博士后训练(1995-1997)。曾任美国犹太医学研究中心及科罗拉多大学医学院免疫学系助理教授、副教授(1998-2005),北京大学生命科学学院长江学者特聘教授(2000-2004)。2005-2013年任武汉大学生命科学学院院长,2013年9月任武汉大学副校长,2014年起兼任武汉大学医学研究院院长。
2010年3-5月,在国家教育行政学院第33期中青班学习;2015年3月-2016年1月,在中共中央党校第15期中青年干部培训二班学习。
主要从事免疫相关的细胞信号转导研究。发现了多个抗病毒天然免疫与炎症反应的关键信号和调节蛋白,阐述了这些过程的分子调控机制;发现了新的肿瘤坏死因子家族成员,阐述了其信号转导的分子事件。这些研究为相关感染与免疫性疾病的防治奠定了重要基础。
已在国际刊物发表论文140余篇,被SCI引用10000余次,其中通讯作者论文单篇最高被引用1000余次,第一作者论文单篇最高被引用300余次。
