斯坦利·霍夫曼
斯坦利·霍夫曼（Stanley Hoffmann）1928年出生于维也纳，在巴黎和尼斯（法国南部港口城市）度过了他的童年时光。

个人履历
1947年加入法国国籍，就读于巴黎政治学院，1952年在哈佛获得政治学硕士学位，后取得博士学位。1968年，霍夫曼在哈佛大学创建了Harvard University Center for European Studies 并任主任。霍夫曼的学术生涯主要在美国展开，从1956年起在哈佛任教至今（除1966-1967年在史丹福大学任教），现任哈佛大学西欧研究中心主任，同时兼任美国对外关係委员会委员、美国政治科学学会理事、美国艺术科学学院院士。
斯坦利·霍夫曼曾是美国现实主义代表人物沃尔弗斯和法国现实主义大师阿隆的学生，他对阿隆的理论特别推崇，受其很大影响。
