季芳芳，博士，助理研究员。2013年7月份于北京大学新闻与传播学院获得传播学博士学位，并于2013年7月加入中国社 会科学院新闻与传播研究所。

现阶段探讨的几个主要问题包括：在国际传播领域，如何理解“传统文化”以及传统文化在国家建设和对外交往中的角色；如何理解新的媒介技术变革；中非关係以及相关的传播议题；全球媒介与传播政策等。

I joined the Institute of Journalism and Communication at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in July, 2013 after I earned my PHD from School of Journalism and Communication at Peking University.

My research interests are international and intercultural communication with a current focus on new media and international communication, the discourse of “tradition” in intercultural communication, sino-African communication, and global media and communication policy(GMCP).
