SAA电源是指通过SAA标準认可，取得SAA证书而且在澳洲本土相关官网上登录，且可以查验到，才可以进入澳大利亚和纽西兰市场，準予销售，流通的电源。

SAA背景简述

澳大利亚的标準机构为Standards Association of Australian，所以很多朋友把澳大利亚认证称为SAA认证。实际上SAA只是标準制定机构，而不颁发产品认证证书。SAA后来又改名为：Standards Australia Limited。SAA是独立的公司，与政府没有直接的关係，但是联邦政府和州政府是它其中的成员。SAA和澳大利亚联邦政府签署了一个备忘录，承认SAA是澳大利亚的非政府标準组织的最高组织。备忘录也指出，标準的制定要与WTO的要求一致。因此，有协定指出当合适的国际标準已存在时，就不用制定新的澳大利亚标準。澳大利亚的标準以“AS”开头，澳大利亚与纽西兰的联合标準以“AS/NZS”开头。澳大利亚的标準与纽西兰的标準基本与IEC一致，同时存在一些国家差异。澳大利亚和纽西兰推行标準的统一和认证的相互认可，产品只要取得一个国家的认证后就可在另外一个国家销售。

有资质发放SAA的认证机构

澳大利亚的产品安全检测由国家认可的实验室--- NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) 实验室，或CB会员实验室测试，将测试报告提交各州的认证受理机构申请证书。目前，有资格受理认证申请的机构有7家（包括纽西兰）：

SAA认证电源发证时效

开关电源属于管制类电器强制必须取得由监控部门颁发的认可证书（certificate of approval），并且规定标识（必须打上证书号）。应当注意的是，认证程式只针对安全性而非性能或品质，除非与安全性相关。证书号的第一个字母显示该证书由哪个州或地区颁发。打上认证公司缩写代码和登记证号即为”安全标示”，例如“Q06 1232”, 表示由昆士兰颁发的证书，登记号为“06 & n b sp;1232 ”　。自发证日期起，三年内有效。
