Harunur Rashid

Harunur Rashid(哈如奴儿·拉希德),男,加拿大国籍。曾在Memorial University of Newfoundland(纽芬兰纪念大学)任职,现为上海海洋大学海洋科学学院特聘研究员及上海海洋大学深渊科学技术研究中心研究员。

其具有多年的海洋地质、古海洋学和低温地球化学的研究经历,参加过多次海洋科考航次,精通稳定同位素质谱仪等多种分析仪器和海洋气候模型,熟悉海洋沉积物样品採样、保存和分析流程。

在Scinence、Quaternary Science Reviews、Paleoceanography、Earth & Planetary Science Letters、Marine Geology 以及 Review of Geophysics 等国际主流期刊上发表论文20多篇,编写着作1本。2016年全职加入上海海洋大学深渊科学技术中心,负责深海科学和气候演变方面的研究工作。

中心研究方向及专长概述

上海海洋大学深渊科学技术研究中心是我国高校第一个专门研究深渊海沟(水深>6000米)的研究机构,在上海市、上海洋大学以及民间资本的大力支持下,正在建造国内首个深渊科学技术流动实验室平台,包括全海深着陆器、无人潜水器和载人潜水器。
依託这个世界领先的科研平台,同时具有多年的海洋地质、古海洋学和低温地球化学的研究经历,也参加过多次海洋科考航次,外加精通稳定同位素质谱仪等多种分析仪器和海洋气候模型,熟悉海洋沉积物样品採样、保存和分析流程。Harunur Rashid 在进入上海海洋大学后,开展了深海科学特别是深海地质和环境气候变化的研究工作。

研究领域和研究目标

(a)深渊区环流研究:深渊区是指水深在6000米到11000米範围的海洋最深部,目前关于这个深度範围的环流数据非常少;其将从地球化学角度对现代深海(水深大于4000米)进行描述,获取相关数据并建立基础资料库,这对于认识深海、开发深海都是十分重要的;
(b)深渊区生物沉积物及非生物沉积物的沉积动力学研究:建立深海环境中碎屑沉积和生源沉积作用及堆积速率的基础资料库;
(c)深渊区古海洋学的研究:重建过去碎屑和生源沉积物沉积速率和环流的变化;通过与深渊中心其他研究组合作,集成数据以实现这方面目标;这也是任何古海洋研究的学科特徵。

团队研究方向

团队利用以下5种方法进行沉积动力学、古气候变化、大洋环流等的研究实验:
(i) stable isotopes [hydrogen (δD), oxygen (δ18O), carbon (δ13C), and nitrogen (δ15N)] in biogenic
carbonates, sediments, and water;

(ii) radiogenic isotopes [C, Nd, and Sr] in biogenic carbonates and sediments;
