王家骁教授1983年获得哥伦比亚大学经济学博士学位，已发表多篇论文，领域涵盖国际贸易、经济成长等主题，并撰写和编辑出版多部有关国际贸易、要素转移和经济成长的着作。仅在三四年间里，研讨会。

20世纪90年代，王家骁教授通过研究生产因素国际流动与货物流动之关係而一举成名，研究成果分别发表在Journal of International Economics等国际上最具权威的国际贸易学术期刊上，并被收录进国际顶尖国际贸易学者JagdishBhagwati主编的优秀国际贸易论文集中，该书在国际上有很大的影响，被世界各大学广泛採用。王家骁教授对国际贸易理论其他方面的研究成果（包括Quid Pro Quo国际资本流动理论）发表在Journal of Economic Theory，American Economic Review等一流国际学术期刊上。他的领域涵盖国际贸易、经济成长等主题，并撰写和编辑出版多部有关国际贸易、要素转移和经济成长的着作。他集中研究亚洲金融危机，WTO与中国，开放最佳时机的选择，贸易自由化与收入分配，技术吸收、生产规模与贸易政策，WTO、智慧财产权和南北贸易，FDI、过度投资、金融危机与经济成长等涵盖国际贸易、国际金融方面的问题。仅在三四年间，王教授已经组织了十多次国际贸易、经济成长和亚洲的学术会议和研讨会。
